Dry Visit – Xlendi Shipwreck app is available for free on Play Store and App Store. It has been developed in the context of the Horizon 2020 iMareCulture project.
The app allows the user diving virtually up to 110 m deep in the water of Xlendi Bay (Gozo Island – Malta) and visiting the homonymous Phoenician shipwreck sunk here during the 7th century B.C.
The underwater explorer can move around the archaeological site through a special underwater vehicle.
He can observe the remains and obtain audio and textual information about the findings (mostly trade amphoras) or the marine environment surrounding the shipwreck (flora and fauna).
